About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

TIME ISN'T ON OUR SIDE!!!!

Time Slows:
How long can 3 & a half days last? A long, long time! At least it feels like that to me now. We will go back to my Brother's in Circleville on Thursday afternoon. I know tomorrow is Wednesday, but man are things going slow here. Early to bed, like between 8:45 to 9:15, and early rising at 6 a.m. Talk about a long, long day! Here it is just barely 6 p.m. and I'm going stir crazy. We did go out and sit on the back porch this afternoon. This house is so HOT it's hard not to go to sleep. I certainly hope I don't get like this when I get older! Okay I'll quit complaining now, LOL!

Rally:
The rally in Branson, Mo is on our mind, and we are going over our maps, and routes that we want to take to get there. We figure it's going to take about 6 hours to get there from Ohio, and will be our longest trip to date! I hope we have none of the problems that we had at Alum Creek State Park a couple of weeks ago! If we do, I hope that no one is watching while we're getting set up! Haha just kidding! We have plans to stop about halfway there, and spend the night. We are looking for a campground to use for the night. We will probably stop about 3 p.m. for the day unless we're not tired, but we plan to be off the road by no later than 4:30 p.m.

Weather:
The weather is not looking too good for our camping weekend at Old Mans Cave. I'm going to hope that the weather will clear, but they're calling for rain until next Tuesday here in Ohio. So stay tuned to see what happens with our camping trip for this weekend.
