IN THE DEEP FREEZE !!!!!

Cold:
The last 2 days it has been bitterly cold here, and tonight and tomorrow we are under a winter storm warning for ICE and SNOW. We are supposed to get 3 to 5 inches of snow and then ice on top of that! Gee I just can't wait! We'll see if the weather forecasters are right. I hope if we have to get it that it doesn't start until after noon tomorrow, because that would give us time to go get a few things from the store before it hits. I don't need much just a few items if we can get to the store, if not I think we can manage without them. We saw a few motor homes and fifth wheels going south today when we were on our way to Walmart. I wish it had been us going that way with the fiver in back of us! I didn't think we were supposed to get any thing out of this storm so I figured I would just run to the grocery tomorrow. Then this evening they changed the forecast on me! Mike is wishing he'd thought to stop at Lowe's and get a few things to use this weekend. Oh well I guess we'll deal with whatever the weather hands us. The grocery is only about 2 and a 1/2 miles, so maybe we can still make it if we wait until the afternoon after the roads have been cleared.

Kara:
Kara is supposed to come and spend the night with us tomorrow too. She will be real disappointed if they can't get out here because of the weather! They live about 20 miles away and she hasn't got to stay since the week end before Christmas. Usually she is here about every other week end if she has anything to say about it.

Apartment:
Wow, I actually got my little china cabinet moved out here to the apartment yesterday! Now I just have to finish putting the rest of the things back into it. I hope to get my buffet moved out here this weekend. Those are the only 2 items that I wanted to keep for the apartment from the dining room in the house. The table and the benches and the chairs I gave to Gary and Mariah. Some of the other things went to Jamie and Corey for their houses, or are stored in the wooden barn out back for them.

Well it seems I am running out of things to say, and my eyes are just wanting to close, so I think I'll say good night to ya all. Sweed Dreams until we meet again...

SNOW SNOW GO AWAY !!!!!

White Stuff:
White stuff is falling from the sky! YUCK!!!! Here in Ohio, between Dayton and Springfield we have great big fat flakes of the stuff coming down! Not something I am happy about because I had planned to go to the local thrift shop today. I usually stop in there about once a month, just to see what they have. I like to collect old time cooking utensils, and things of that nature, which don't take up too much room. Anyway the white stuff is sticking to the ground, but we're only supposed to get about an inch. So I may still get to go to the thrift shop this afternoon. I also buy used sheets there, so I can cover the bird cages at night. We go through quite a few of those because Paco and Jake like to chew on them. Once they get big holes chewed in them we have to use another one, so it's nice that they're cheap at the thrift store.

Painting:
Walls that is not pictures! LOL! I actually have one wall painted in the apartment now. We'll be moving my buffet and little china cupboard in here today or tomorrow. Getting that done will make me feel like things are starting to take shape in our little apartment (or in law suite) if ya want to call it that, since we're connected to the main house. We still have to go into the main house to shower and stuff of that nature, and to let the dogs out the back door right now. The bathroom sink should be connected today, and the shower maybe by this weekend.
I have to say I miss living in the fiver, because everything was contained, and had it's own place! One of these days I guess the apartment will be finished and everything will be in it's own place, but right now all the boxes and clutter are starting to drive me crazy! We have so many boxes of stuff in our bedroom, that we only have a path around the bed, and to the doors. I can't unpack the boxes, or downsize them until I see what we need for the apartment. Then the rest I can take to the thrift store, of maybe have a yard sale this summer. Well it's time to get busy, so we'll see what tomorrow holds for us and see ya then...

QUIET WEEKEND !!!!!!

Weekend:
Quiet weekend is another way of saying we had a boring weekend. Not much went on here in Ohio this weekend. We did have a little visitor last night for a sleep over, but that was pretty low key too. Tehya our 4 year old Grand daughter spent the night, because her sister had been invited to spend the night with one of her friends. So I called her and asked her if she wanted to have a sleep over with us, so she wouldn't be alone with no one to play with. She thought that was great! Anyway we played on the computer, played with her "My Little Pony" ferris wheel, played with her little E Pet on line, and had hot cocoa before bed. Well not to hot, actually just warm, but she liked it. When we got in bed we told stories, and sang a few songs, and then we went to sleep. Tehya is an easy sleep over. She is one of those kids who likes to sleep in, and doesn't get up at the crack of dawn, like alot of them do. She slept until 10:30 which means we did too! Oops!! We got up and she had tea and cinnamon toast for breakfast. Then Corey came to pick her up, at noon, so that's why I say she is an easy sleep over to have. We had lots of fun too, and did lots of giggling. So that was pretty much our week end. Oh I did the regular things like dishes, and stuff like that, but that's really is boring!! I am starting to find places for things to go here in the apartment, and it is starting to shape up. I think that we'll have a full (usable) bathroom by the end of the week! Whoo Hoo!!! No more going into the house to brush our teeth and shower! Haha what a thing to get excited about! Oh well we're making progress, and that is what we want, so it's all good. Well I think that is going to be it for today, so hang in there untill we meet here again, ok...?
