About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

WHEW !! HOT & NO WIFI, YET AGAIN!!!!!!

Hi Gang:
Long time no post huh? Well, it's been one of those times again! We could NOT get on the internet at Mike's Moms, no matter what we tried! The wifi booster wouldn't work, so that is going back to the store! We cannot pay $70.00 for something that won't work! It was recommended very highly, but we got no internet with it, so we're going to try the the wifi booster called wi-fire, and see if that will work for us. If that doesn't work, then we'll have to get the Verizon card. I feel like I've been lost at sea for a month with no internet! Well I have it now, so I guess I should quit whining about it!

Hot:
This time at Mike's Mom's house it was so Horribly HOT! How hot was it, you ask? Well, it was at least 100 degrees in the house! Everytime we turned on the air conditioner in our bedroom, and had a fan blowing into the hallway to the livingroom, she'd turn it off! She said it was costing her too much money to run it 24/7, besides she's used to the heat! Needless to say we spent all our waking hours in the finished basement with 2 fans going. It was only 80 degrees down there, but we were alot cooler down there. We could at least read down there, and she refused to come downstairs to sit with us. She is getting worse each time we see her. At 84 years old she still complains because the kids won't let her drive or stay by herself. I feel really bad for her, but she forgets to take her medication, and even eat by herself.

Circleville:
Anyway, we're back at the fiver at my brother's house in Circleville, and we'll be here until after the 2nd weekend in August. We went back to Springfield, and picked up Kara, our Grand Daughter and got Jake, my yellow Nape Amazon parrot, and came back down. We're going to have a surprise 70th Birthday Party for my Mom on the 2nd of August! Then Kara will go home, and I'll take the next week to rest up before we go home. Having an 8 year old all the time is hard on Grammy & Papa too, so we'll need to rest up and relax before going back home.

Missing You:
You have all been missed ! It will take me forever to catch up on the forums, and all the blogs I read! I will try my best to get caught up and I hope I can even pop in to the RV Dreams chat, sometime after Kara goes to bed, if I don't fall asleep first! So HI to all of you, in the chat room, and I hope to see ya sometime this weekend! Take care, and those of you that are on the road be safe!
