WE'RE GETTING CLOSER!!!

Closer:
WooHoo! The countdown has started! Only one more day and then we head for Branson! I have some wash to finish, and some things to put in the fiver. Tomorrow will be soon enough for that. Most of the things that need to go to the fiver are setting beside the front door ready to be taken out tomorrow. Paco's traveling cage will be clean and ready to go tomorrow also. Paco will ride in the back seat of the truck in his carrier. My plants will be on the floor in the back of the truck, until we stop. Everything else will be in the fiver. The food is already in the refrigerator, so that is one less thing I have to worry about.

Sewing Room/Craft room:
Well I know all of you will be so happy for me to report that everything is packed, and out of my sewing room/craft room, except one desk! I know you'll be happy that you won't have to listen to me whine anymore about getting it cleaned out! Haha! I am so glad to have it done! The desks can wait until we get back from Branson to be moved. So that's another room in the stix n' brix cleaned out

Stay Tuned:
Tomorrow I will give our trip route and out first campground, miles ect.... We have chosen to travel about 3 hours per day. We plan to arrive in Branson on Wednesday early afternoon, but then ya know how the best laid plans are, so we'll see.

TGI FRIDAY!!!!!

Friday:
Yippee it's Friday!!!! Wow only the weekend to go before we leave for Branson on Monday morning! Now it's starting to get exciting, and scary at the same time. Will I be able to get everything done and finished in time? We have now checked the air conditioner in the fiver and it works fine. Food is loaded and ready to go. Clothes are not ready! YIKES I have got to get busy with them. I also have some laundry I need to get finished. Most of the things are ready to go, but just not put in the fiver yet. I hope to get the rest of the things loaded into the fiver a little bit at a time during the weekend, so all we have to do is get up Monday morning and go.

Yesterday:
I worked more on the sewing room yesterday, and got quite a bit moved, and ready to move. I also threw out a huge trash bag full of things that I no longer used. I would like to get most of the rest moved out tonight, so all that is left are the sewing tables that go in our bedroom. Hopefully Mike can get them taken apart and moved while I'm working in the fiver tomorrow. I need to change the bed, clean the bathroom, and put the rest of the stuff away. I still have pictures to put up in the fiver. After that I can run the sweeper and everything will be ready to go. All of our obligations have been dealt with, and we are free until Monday when we get to start on our trip to Branson. I got my hair done yesterday and Mike got his hair cut today, so all that is taken care of too. I hope to be able to spend some time chatting with friends in the RV Dreams Chat room this evening too.

STORMS/ SEWING ROOM

Storms:
Last night we were hammered all night with thunder storms! So I gave Dutchess her medicine before we went to bed, she slept until 2:30a.m. From then on I was up with her. I gave her more medicine at 3:00a.m. I don't think it ever took effect. At 5:00a.m. I got up and took her out to the living room. Finally at about 8a.m. she went to sleep, and it took 20 minutes for her breathing to settle down after she went to sleep! I went back to bed for a couple of hours when she settled down.

Sewing Room:
After I got up and had my tea, I attacked the sewing room. I got alot done in the sewing room. Only about half of the stuff remains now. I'm going to try to finish up on Friday. Then my sewing tables can be moved. Once that happens it will be pretty much empty. It is getting easier to go in there everyday, and I am less overwhelmed with it than I was. Most of my material for quilting will go into storage in my closet, with all of my yarn. I threw lots of old paint and crafts away today. What I kept was things that my Granddaughters could do when we take them camping.

Shopping:
Late this afternoon I went shopping with my friend. She was looking for a new bedspread for her bedroom, that would go with the new wall color she chose when we painted. We found a comforter that was perfect at Kmart of all places! It looks great! I told her that I am real good at helping someone else spend their money! LOL! We had fun anyway and, she can't wait to get the room finished now. When we come back from Branson, I will repaint the trim for her, because the color is too dark. I really like to paint and I think it's fun! On the other hand Sue hates to paint, so it worked out great.

Chat Room:
I will spend some time in the RV Dreams chat room this evening to top off my day. The excitement is running high about the RV Dreams Rally, and those of us who are going just can't wait to start traveling! I imagine the ones who aren't going are getting tired of hearing about it though!

MOOVIN RIGHT ALONG

Today:
Today has been a rather slow day with rain off and on all day. The high temp is only 70 degrees, and I think the rain is going to be an all day event. I told Mike he should get out there and start washing the fiver while it was already wet, and he didn't seem to think that was a very good idea. I wonder why? Rain suits my mood, so that's ok because I am going to be hard at work in the sewing/craft room trying to get all my material packed up. If I reach for material at a store, or a garage sale, I think Mike will slap my hands, since I have so much! haha!

Hair:
I was able to get an appointment for my hair on Thursday an hour after my doctor's appointment, so that worked out fine, and I won't have to make 2 separate trips so I'll save gas too! Mike is already complaining about the cost of my "upkeep" as he calls it! LOL! He says once we get on the road, fulltime I'll have to find a cheaper place to get my hair done! It is expensive, but Kathy does a good job, and I love my hair after she finishes it! My only other option is to let my hair go gray, and I'm not ready to do that yet! I'd color it myself first!

Lists:
Gee whiz, I think I have everything I can think of on my lists for this trip. Food. clothes, reading material, water, fans, sunglasses, etc... can anyone think of something important that I am forgetting ? I didn't list everything that I have on my lists though!

ERRAND DAY

Errands:
Today we ran some errands. We went to the used book store and got some books for the trip to Branson, we read alot! Then we ended up at Wally World. We had a few last minute things we needed to get. We have revised our schedule, and we're not leaving for Branson until Monday morning. That way we will only stay 2 nights on the road, and be in Branson on Wednesday. We have reservations for Terre Haute, In, and for St Louis, Mo. They are both KOA campgrounds, so we get a discount. If we like them, we will probably stay at them on the way back to Ohio too. Tomorrow I have to finish up the sewing room, so Mike can move my sewing tables to our bedroom. I will take a small corner of it for my sewing when we are home.

Fiver:
The fiver needs cleaned, and dusted before we leave. I also have to get my clothes ready to go. So that means doing laundry, and I also have to take my dress clothes out of the fiver, because the last time we used it we went to a funeral. I just haven't had time to get them out yet.

Appointments:
I have to call and get an appointment to get my hair cut this week, then I have a doctor's appointment on Thursday, and I have to watch the Grandkids on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, so after all that the week should go pretty fast. At least It feels like it's going to go really fast. I know all of you are probably getting tired of hearing about our trip to Branson, but were pretty excited about it, and we can't wait to get started!

SUNDAY

Today:
Today was a quiet day for us,with not much of anything going on. I gave our oldest son, Jamie, a hair cut this afternoon. We watched alot of the Puerto Rican primary, while we played dueling computers. Actually we played the same card games on the computer. I'm ahead in games won on spider solitare! Lol!

Yesterday:
Yesterday I helped my friend with her painting again. I just finished up the trim around the ceiling, while she took up the old carpet on the floor. I ended up not getting home until about 9:45p.m. Since I was tired, I just went to bed instead of going into the RV Dreams chat room. I have not been there for a few days, so I'll probably be there tonite!

Rally:
Wow, time is passing by fast now! I have a week to be ready to go. Clothes need to be washed, and packed into the fiver, fiver needs cleaned inside, food packed, and the dreaded sewing/craft room has to be empty! I have the list of things I am bringing for the carry-in-dinner, just need to get them. I have to get my hair done, cos I wouldn't want anyone to see all the gray I have! Haha! I have a doctor appointment on Thursday, then it's all down hill from there. Oops, I forgot I also have to watch my Granddaughters on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Friday, after school until their Mom gets off work. Then no more commitments until we get back from Branson. After we get back from Branson, we'll have to go down and take our turn at Mike's Moms again. After that I promised Autumn and, Tehya they could go camping with us.
