NOT MUCH HAPPENING SATURDAY

Saturday:
Today was pretty quiet, and really hot and humid! We spent a satisfying morning, Mike with his coffee, and me with my hot tea sitting in our recliners being lazy. I didn't do anything more strenuous than make a list of the things I want to do tomorrow. The air conditioner ran all day and didn't shut off once until 9:00p.m. It has now reached the temp we had it set at, and is nice and cool in here. Here is a question for all of you, when you run your AC do you have the trailer door open or closed? Ok before all you guys say DUH, I mean the main door, we tend to have our main door opened back and the screen door closed, with the clear plastic windows over the screens. It seems so closed in with the big door shut, and I know I'll have to have it shut in the winter, but what do you do? I'm sure it is more efficient with the big door closed. So I just wanted to see what the consensus was on that question.

Company:
We've had lots of phone calls, and company this evening. Mike's sister called telling us about her new Granddaughter born last Sunday evening, my Mom called, and I talked to her for an hour! Then one of our friends came by, and ended up staying for dinner, and we did lots of catching up. So that's been our day and evening. Kinda boring, but kinda nice too! A couple of glasses of wine would have made it a lot nicer, but we were out and I didn't want to go to the store. So there you have it, until tomorrow...

TIME TO RELAX !!!

Relaxation:
Whew, I can now relax, for a while! I LOVE my Granddaughters, but when you get used to lots of quiet, little girls sure can be noisy, and very high pitched. My daughter in law, Julia, picked up Tehya around 1:30 p.m. Jamie came to get Kara around 3:00 p.m, and wanted me to cut his hair, so I did that, and they left about a half hour later. One thing about little boys, since we had 3, before they grew up into men, they just yell, and fight. Little girls we have found out, like to squeal, and pout a lot. I guess all of us females have to learn, and practice getting our way, then pouting when we don't while we are little girls, so when we grow up, we can use it all on unsuspecting guys! LOL! Anyway, our Granddaughters are really getting good at it, and are getting in a lot of practice! Ha ha! So we are free of Grand kids for a while, not that I'm complaining, cos I'm now ready for some peace & quiet. I for one, am not going to do anything more strenuous than go to the RV Dreams chat room tonite. I haven't got to chat but one night this week, so that's what I'm planing for this Friday night, that and maybe playing some games on my laptop the rest of the afternoon. Sounds like a nice relaxing plan to me!

Camera Play:
Oh I forgot, I also want to play around with my camera, and see if I can load my pictures onto my computer, and maybe upload the picture of the truck and the fiver to my blog, see I', feeling real confident this afternoon! If I can accomplish that then I will be happy with the end to my week.

Weather:
I really hate to say this, but we here in Ohio are need of rain. The lawns are turning brown, and the only thing growing is weeds. The flowers are really dry, and the gardens around here are really suffering. Watch out now, cos Ohio is going to get drenched since I said we need rain! Okay let's see what tomorrow brings, so until then...

ACCOMPLISHMENTS

Accomplishments:
Yesterday morning Mike got the front of the fiver washed, which is something he had been wanting to get done for a long time! He figures he will do the trailer in sections, and then by the time he gets it all done he can start all over! Kara and I took down the pictures and knick knacks in the living room, and got then all ready to be boxed up. The rest of the day yesterday was spent doing things with Kara. We colored pictures, then she made a bracelet with beads while I finished up dinner. She loves to do crafts, and paint sun catchers. Then there is the computer sites that she loves to get on. I told you about the Webkinz , site the other day, but then she also loves a site called Stardoll, kinda like playing paper dolls on the web, of course she had never heard of paper dolls when I told her about them! Guess that was just for us girls who were girls in the olden days. There is also a web site for the High School Musical movies that are all the rage right now with all the "tween" girls now. Tweens are girls who are between ten and twelve, not quite a teenager yet!

Dutchess:
Last night was Dutchess's first night to stay all night in the fiver. She did pretty good, but was kinda restless going up the steps and down the steps before settling down for the night. It will be something she'll have to get used to, so it may tike a few times before she is comfortable being in the fiver all the time. Hannah sure was glad to see her when I took her into the house today.

Today:
Today I had 4 year old Tehya, as well as Kara, Autumn was in school, and today was her 3rd day of school. The girls and I baked cookies, and they played on the computers while I did the dishes. Then they colored, and did beads, well Tehya's attention span isn't real long so she did coloring and beads for about 10 minutes! LOL! Grandpa did the shopping, so we didn't have to go and take the kids with us, cos they want everything they see, so it's just easier not to take them with us so one of us stays home with them. After our son, Corey got home from work he took Tehya, Autumn, and Kara home with him to give me a break. Then he will bring his youngest, Tehya, and Kara back to spend the night. Autumn will get to sleepover another night.

Counter:
I finally got a counter put here on my blog. I am really proud of myself too! I finally figured it out, and kept at it until I got it. So I've been patting myself on the back, because I am very computer illiterate, and even I eventually figured it out! So see there's hope for my pictures too! My next step will be to get a pic of the truck and the fiver posted, so wish me luck. I hope it will be a little easier that the counter was, if not I may end up being bald! I just about pulled my hair out doing the counter! LOL! Let's see what tomorrow brings, so until then...

JELLO PLANS MELTED !!

Plans:
Well it's a good thing the plans that I had written for yesterday were in Jello, cos they melted! LOL !! Actually the only thing I got done was the wash. We had to go to our son's house, (Jamie), Kara's Dad, to get her more clothes for this week, and then we stopped and picked up our prescriptions at the base pharmacy. When we got home it was after 3:00 p. m. Luckily, I had put meatballs and cheese ravioli in that good old invention, the Crockpot that we all use and love to death. It's one of the hardest working small appliances, I can think of ! No self respecting full timer should be without one! I have two! So if you're planning on going full time ya should plan on having at least one! Anyway, I kind of got off the subject of my plans, but that's what I did before we left. So Kara, and I played around on the computers, for most of the afternoon after we got back. She loves to come over and get on her Webkinz site and play, me I was lazy, and played computer games. So that's the story of what happened to my plans, but no reason for me to get upset, like I used to when things didn't go as planed, I'll just do those things another day. Wow, see what this full timing lifestyle does for you, removes all that nasty old stress! Yippee!!! Who cares about chores, they'll get done eventually!
Seriously, worry doesn't do anything but give ya wrinkles anyway!

Most of the fiver is lookin' good, but the garage area is a mess, so one of these days when the mood strikes us, we'll have to organize it so we can start on the apartment since we're not going on the road until December 26th, even though we're living in the fiver full time. Until then, we're just going for short trips wherever, and whenever we want. So look us up tomorrow, cos tomorrow is another day, and maybe we'll just take the day off to have fun , or actually we might do some chores, but today, we're just gonna have fun with out Granddaughter Kara, and that's as it should be, until then...

BACK ON TRACK

Today:
I got back on track today, and got busy. The cabinets are all organized, and I think I have things where I want them. Well, we'll have to live with this arrangement for awhile, and see how we like it now. The cabinets are clean, and very neat, so we'll let you know. At least I got it done, and I'm happy with the arrangement for now. I have alot more room in the cabinets now. So I have room for more stuff, right? LOL!! Just kidding! My island has enough room for for all my can goods, and I even have have a dedicated cabinet for cleaners, and trash bags now! Mike worked outside the garage cleaning up scraps of wood, and building materials, so we have room to work on the apartment cutting wood, ect...
So we were both busy today.

School:
Autumn starts school tomorrow, and she is not real happy about it. She isn't ready for summer to be over yet. Kara doesn't start until next Tuesday, and she isn't real happy about it either. Poor Tehya is the only one of our Grandkids, that would love to go to kindergarten, but her birthday isn't until February, so she won't be five in time. Kara is going to spend the rest of the week with us, and Tehya will get to spend the night with her on Thursday in the fiver. Tehya's Mommy has to be at work at 5 a.m. on Friday, and I wasn't about to get up that early. I put my time in getting up at 5 a.m., and I wasn't about to get up that early to babysit, again. So that's why Tehya will be spending the night on Thursday. Autumn will be mad about that, I bet! She'll probably get to stay overnight on the weekend.

Chores:
Tomorrow, I want to dust, and clean the bathroom, and change the bed in the fiver. Well, let me rephrase that I'm going to have Kara do the dusting, while I do the rest, and then she is going to help me pack stuff in the house. I still have all my pictures hanging up in the livingroom, so she is going to help me pack them. After that is done, we'll have most of our stuff packed in the house. Check here tomorrow, and see if we get these things done, or if my pland were written in Jello, until then...

BEST LAID PLANS ????

Not Today:
Well, I did plan to rearrange the cabinets in the fiver today, but alas, that is not going to happen, at least it won't unless I get off my rear, but with it being quarter past four, I don't see much going on in the way of organizing for today. The most I'm going to do is make a big salad for dinner. Having company all day kinda makes ya tired, and lazy!

Island:
We got the cart that is cabinet height yesterday, and Mike spend an hour putting it together, so now I have an island in the fiver for the kitchen. I can store my can goods inside it, and it has a cutting board top. It makes a nice island, but it does take up about 2' of floor space in the kitchen area. It gives me more counter space too. We paid $100.00 for it, which I didn't like, but we sure needed it, and now Mike won't have to hear me complain about not having enough space to use the counters. I know all you guys out there are probably saying "well that was money well spent!" Believe me Mike thinks the same thing! LOL! I will take a picture of it so ya can see it. Well, that's one of our problems solved, and a couple more to go! I still have to do the cabinets over, but I'll get that done in the morning.

No Time Crunch:
It's so nice not being on a schedule ruled by the clock! It's fun keeping our own schedule, and doing what we want when we want. We have found out we do things at a much slower pace, and they still get done, if that's what we want done. It is always astonishing to me, when I sit back, and reflect on how the day went, that it was still a good day, and I can't wait to get up, and see what the next day will bring. So that is all the deep thinking I'm going to do today, so until I sit down to write again...
