EEK !!!!!! WHITE STUFF !!!!!!!!

White Stuff:
Oh no it can't be, can it? Yes unfortunately it's true, we had our first snow today. Great big fat flakes of the stuff!!! I took these pictures from the door of the fiver. We were thinking about just going out to the trailer to vegitate, but it was still too cold even with the furnace and the electric heater running. It started out as rain, then it turned into that flake word. The snow melted as soon as it hit the ground, so there was no accumulation. Thank goodness! I may be ready for some snow on Christmas Eve and that's all! This is exactly why I want to go south for the winter. I hate being cold! It wasn't too good for me being out in the cold and being sick anyway, but we just thought since it was going to be a all day rain event there would be more room in the fiver than our bedroom, but we ended up staying in the bedroom. Mike didn't feel like working on the apartment today, because he did too much yesterday, and when he got up his back was hurting him. I still just sat and messed on the computer, since I'm not feeling to good. At least the congestion is out of my head now, of course now it dropped into my chest, and now my asthma is rearing its ugly head! At least it's not too bad right now and my inhalers seem to be helping control the wheezing. Well enough about being sick. Again another reason to hate the cold weather!

Honeymooners:
The honeymooners have returned home! They got back this morning, so at least they didn't have to drive in the snow. Mariah got some of the wedding pictures from her Mom today! There are some really good ones! They are from the wedding photographer and there are still a few more rolls of film to be developed. I can't wait to see them! Well that's about it for today, by the way I'd like to thank all of you for reading my blog, my counter is higher than I ever expected! So until next time...

They're Here!!
These are pretty self explanatory, but I like them! The flowers turned out really pretty, but I'm so glad the wedding is over! Gary and Mariah are on their Honeymoon, and Mike and I have no more of that awful stress. At least no more that normal that is! Isn't my Mom young looking? She definitely doesn't look 70 to me! Then again I'm prejudged, and I don't think my Poppy looks 79 either. I hope I look as good as they do when I grow up! LOL! Mike's Mom looks really young too!

Still Sick:
I'm still not feeling too good yet, I sure hope I start to feel better soon! I really hate being sick! Of course I don't know anyone who does!

Work:
Well it's back to work on the apartment tomorrow, we had go buy some 2 X 4's and sheets of plywood for the floor today. So Mike will be able to get busy, and I will have Miss Tehya after she gets home from preschool around noon. I'm sure glad that she can play on the computer because I sure don't feel like playing, and doing crafts. Ya'll take care and travel safe where ever you may be going, and I hope to see ya tomorrow evening. So until then...

IN THE HOUSE

We've Moved, Sort Of:
We moved into our bedroom in the house. It will be a month or so before we get the apartment done, but we'll make do. We hope to get a lot done in the next 2 weeks. The last few nights have gotten pretty cold in the fiver. The temps were down to 28^ last night and the furnace has been running a lot. At that rate the propane that Mike got on Sunday will be gone before Thursday. One 30 # tank usually lasts us about 2 weeks unless it is really cold. We still have to get our food out of the fiver and take it and dump the tanks. Then we will winterize it until we're able to head south hopefully after Christmas. We all know how plans are though, so it will depend on a number of things going the way that we want them to. We had been using our bedroom for storage all summer, so we had to move things into the closet and straighten up in there so we could move back in. For now our bedroom is our living room and sleeping quarters. I may still cook in the fiver until we get the rest of our stuff moved.

Sick:
For the first time in several years I have gotten sick. Everyone has had this around here, and it seems to last about a week or so. I've had a very sore throat, and have been coughing a lot. The sore throat started on Sunday, and has gotten worse yesterday and today. I just thought that I talked too much with everyone at the wedding and that I strained my voice, guess not. I'm also congested, so only
time will tell if my asthma gets involved. I sure hope not, I hate having to go to the hospital to get breathing treatments. So I haven't had much of a voice the past few days, and of course Mike thinks that it's funny when my voice cracks and I can't yell back at him either, that's not fair! LOL!

Veteran's Day:
I want to wish all our veterans out there a Happy Veterans Day! We all owe a great deal to all who have served in the military from the beginning of our country. We certainly wouldn't be able to live as freely as we do in this country if our men and women hadn't been willing to protect our country! I hope that our Military men and women and families know how much we appreciate what they have done for this country! Everyone please take care and say a prayer for our troops and military personnel. So I'll see you when tomorrow becomes today, until then...

Wedding Bell Blues

It's Over!
Hi Long Time No See,
The reason that I have wedding bell blues is not because the wedding is over, I'm actually tickled BLUE HaHA! I bet ya thought I was gonna say pink huh? Anyway I'm blue because I was so busy that I didn't get to take any pictures! So now I have to wait until my brother-in-law sends me a cd of the pictures that he took so I can post some for you guys. After having to hear about the wedding for the last couple of months it's the least I can do. I was really bummed that I wasn't able to take any of our Grand Daughters walking up the aisle as the wedding started. They looked so cute, and Tehya stole the show when she threw the flowers up in the air, (instead of droping them on the aisle) as she walked down the aisle! It was so darn cute! Our Sons, Jamie and Corey both escorted me down the aisle after the Bride's brothers escorted their Mother down. Then both Rhonda (Brides Mother) and I lighted 2 candles so Gary and Mariah could light their unity candle from them. Then came the 2 junior bridesmaids Autumn first and then Kara, and the 2 other bridesmaids. Next the Matron of Honor walked down the aisle followed by Miss Tehya throwing the flowers up in the air as she walked, and watching them fall. Everybody got a kick out of that! Then came the Bride and her Father. Mariah was so nervous that she giggled through about half of the ceremony, but she got herself in control in time to take her vows. LOL! Of course Gary didn't help because he kept grinning at her! The reception followed at the VFW with a buffet dinner. After Gary and Mariah cut the cake, and very carefully fed it to each other, much to the chagrin of their friends who were hoping they would smash it all over each other's faces. After the Bride and her Father danced, Gary escorted me to the dance floor for our Mother and Son dance. I chose the song, "Unforgettable" by Nat King Cole for our dance. It's one of my favorites and if nothing else our kids are definitely UNFORGETTABLE, aren't they!? We left after watching the kids all doing the Chicken dance, the Hokey Pokey, the Electric Slide and YMCA. Tehya danced her little behind off, and Corey said she fell asleep within 8 minutes of getting home! Sorry again no pictures with a perfect opportunity! I was too busy watching! I promise I'll post the pictures when I get the cd in the mail, thanks to my brother-in-law. I hope its soon!

Truck:
While making my contributions of the food for buffet at the wedding reception, we discovered that the truck made an excellent 2nd refrigerator! With the temps down in the mid 30's it kept things nice and cold! Most of the food we put in the truck was the relish, pickle and olive trays because they are always so big, and take up so much room in a refrigerator, and I had the refrigerator in both the house and the fiver full! I didn't put anything in there that I knew would spoil though or wasn't sure about. Poor Mike very willingly played gopher for me, fetching things from the house to the fiver and vice versa when I was in the house cooking. I'd have never made it without him!! Some things are just too big for the stove and oven in the fiver.

Rest For The Weary:
Sunday was spent sleeping and resting. We didn't get out of bed until late, and then the rest of the day we spent in our recliners. In the evening I cleaned up the kitchen in the fiver because it was trashed. Then I played some games on the ole puter for awhile and was in bed by 10:30. I talked so much on Saturday that my voice is barely above a whisper. I hope it's not a sign of getting bronchitis. Then again in the middle of Saturday night, we ran out of propane too, so that could be the reason too. Good thing we had the electric mattress pad and then Mike woke up and got the electric heater and set it on the dresser. My throat was a little sore yesterday and, is very sore today. Hopefully moving into our apartment, and out of the fiver will help. It's not completely finished, but we can make do until it is. I can tell you that it's pretty darn cold here at night now, 28 degrees COLD! That makes it pretty cold in the fiver too! We're planning on taking the fiver and going to dump the tanks, and then winterizing it until we can go south. In the meantime we have the tank heaters on, so nothing freezes up. Well I'm getting tired so until I come back tomorrow see ya then...
