Kitchen:
Today I packed my antique dishes, and everyday plates. After that I scrubbed the counter tops, the top of the stove. Smooth top stoves are a pain in the rear to clean when you let them get dirty. I had to use the razor blade scraper that came with the stove to get the burnt stuff off the burners. All of it came off, and the stove looks new, so I'm pleased. The sinks got cleaned and are even shiny again. I had neglected the kitchen quite a bit, since we've been gone so much this month. Plus I'm hoping this will be the last time I really have to deep clean everything. We're planning on being out of the house by June, when we go to the RV Dreams rally! So after that it will be up to my Son to keep everything clean. All I have left to do is wipe down the cabinets, and the other appliances, and I will be done with the kitchen! I could have been done a long time ago, but I have been lazy, and the weather hasn't been sunny. I find it hard to get going on gloomy cloudy days. Okay, I'm done making excuses now!
SUN:
Today has been a great day! The sun has been shining, and the wind isn't blowing as bad as it has been. I have the windows open and is is so nice! So it was actually, dare I say it, WARM, and very pleasant! My dwarf Lilacs, and my Lily of the Valley are blooming and they smell so good! My yellow Siberian Iris is blooming in the pond, and the cattails are getting very tall! Spring is my favorite time of the year when it is nice like it is supposed to be, or rather how I want it to be! I hope it stays warm, then I should be able to get lots done in the next few days!

WALLY WORLD- USED BOOKSTORE
Wally World & Book Store:
Yesterday we went to Wal-mart to get parrot food and a few other things we needed. After that we went to another used book store and I got some more books that I had on my list to read. We came home, I fixed dinner and then I sorta became a couch potato the rest of the evening.
Today:
The sun is out today, but it is rather a crisp day here in Ohio. More like fall than late spring. Also today we are in the WPAFB, flight path! Overhead lots of jets flying and circling. The pilots are probably doing touch and go landings today. We have seen the stealth fighter fly over several times here, and it is really neat! Gosh does anyone say neat anymore? There for awhile it was taboo, like all 60's words. I remember saying groovy alot, and fab, way out or far out, crazy man, outasite etc... you get the idea. I think awesome was an 80's or 90's word though. Funny how each generation has its own slang words for things! Wow, how did I get off track on that? LOL!!! It wasn't what I intended to write about!
Odds & Ends:
My kitchen here in the sticks and bricks is looking really bare! Only my canisters left to pack up now. It looks pretty sad and neglected! What a change, I didn't realize I had so much stuff! Amazing how you amass things over the years. We have lived in this house since June of 1978 so I guess, I had plenty of time to pile up things and collect stuff. The stuff that I can't seem to let go of will be stored in the garage for as long as it takes for me to let them go or we're forced to hang up our keys, by gas prices, or illness, or whatever the future holds for us. Either way we would have downsized. Our plans are to travel as much as we can while we still can! With gas prices the way they are now, we just won't be moving as often as we might have. Since our youngest Son wanted to buy the house it seemed like a good time to go for our dream of part time now/future full time by next January. Well that's it for now, time to get busy with everyday things like doing dishes etc...

HOME AGAIN, HOME AGAIN !!!
Sunday:
We got up Sunday and the sun was shining, and we decided to move the fiver to my brother's driveway so it would be easy taking off in the morning. Before we got the trailer moved, it got dark and clouded up like it was going to storm. So we waited until about 3:00p.m. to move it. The Clouds and the storm blew over and when we got it moved, rather than setting everything back up we just decided to go ahead and come home. I have found out that I can't stay in the trailer without the jacks all set up. It does something to my equilibrium, at least I think that's what it is, cos I get really dizzy and sick at my stomach, must be motion sickness. Just having movement when someone walks seems to do it. Anyway, like I said we just made a spur of the moment decision and came home. We could have just as easily stayed another week. Man, do I like being free and able to do what we want! I was missing my dog, Dutchess, and the birds though!
Monday:
Today we went to the base, and then stopped at the used bookstore on the way home. I was able to get a Debbie Macomber that I hadn't read, and then I bought a couple of books by Karen Harper who writes suspense stories, that I wanted to see if I liked. Nora Roberts is one of my favorite authors, but she doesn't write fast enough for me so I'm looking for some other authors to read. I have always loved to read, so I have to make sure I have books for the road!
Rally:
I am really getting excited, for the RV Dreams rally to get here! I can't wait to see and meet everyone from the chat room, and talk in person. I think it's going to be really fun, and the information we learn about is gonna be awesome! Just 2 more weekends to get through, and then we'll be on our way!
Kitchen:
Today I packed up more of the kitchen stuff, and one or two more boxes, and the kitchen will be done! Then we have to start on the dreaded sewing/craft room! I'm not looking forward to moving my sewing table and all that entails, but I will be so glad when its done!
