This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

CHORES

Cleaning:
Well today was cleaning day, so I got busy and put all my clothes back in the drawers, that I took to Mikes Mom's just in case I needed extras. They had been sitting around in plastic bags since we got back on Thursday. Dirty clothes went in the laundry basket, and the ones I didn't wear went back into the drawers. Now all I have to do is change the bed, dust, and clean the bathroom, which I will do tomorrow. We will be here until probably Monday morning. I wanted to go home today, but it was so windy here, we didn't want to take a chance pulling the fiver today.

Steak Dinner:
Before we came back to the fiver, we stopped at Sam's, and bought some steaks, and shrimp to put on the grill at my brother's house. We thought it would be a good Thank You, for them putting up with us the last week. I seasoned the steak, with Montreal steak seasoning, and then the shrimp with butter and lemon pepper. After letting the steak marinate for a while, I put them on the grill. We had fresh mushrooms, cooked with garlic and butter. After I had turned the steaks, we put the shrimp on the top rack of the grill. It would only take the shrimp about 2 minutes on each side. We sat down to a spinach salad, baked potatoes, and of course the steak and shrimp. Before Alan, my brother, took a bite of his steak, he told me that if he didn't like his steak and shrimp, that I wouldn't have electric and water at the fiver. LOL! Well lets just say he got a big smile on his face when he tasted it, and I kept my water and electricity on! He was kidding me anyway, but it was fun! The next morning he was still talking about his steak and shrimp. He said that it was better than Outback steak house. I have never eaten there, but it tasted pretty good to me! He had left over steak, shrimp, and eggs for breakfast. Haha! I have had steak and eggs for breakfast, but never with shrimp too. I guess that means, I can
have the camp site in his back yard anytime I want to! We'll see! Of course, if it costs me a steak dinner every time it could get expensive as a campground! LOL!
