About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

A. P. B. ISSUED FOR SPRING!!!!!

Spring :
Spring is MISSING!! Surely, it didn't run off from the lovely state of Ohio! It must have been kidnapped or something! It is a perfect cold, windy, rainy, and winter day here in central Ohio. I sure hope that whoever took Spring will return it to this area soon! Like ASAP!!!! NOW would be even better!!! Haha!

Home Delay:
We have decided to wait a day before going home. It rained all night here in Circleville, and the wind was blowing in gusts of about 20 to 30 mph, so we'll go back home in the morning. We still have a very fine, cold, misty rain falling, so tomorrow will be a better day to travel. Today Mike hooked up to the fiver and turned it around in my brother's driveway, so we would be heading out the right direction, and we'll be ready to roll in the morning. We are still hooked up to the truck, and will leave it on, so we don't have to hook up in the morning. Basically all we have to do is get dressed, and get into the truck and go! I have everything put away except for securing the dining chairs.

First Week in Fiver:
We have now spent a week living in the fiver. We have a list of things we need right away, but for the most part it has been like a fun vacation. We have had all kinds of weather this week, and we have stayed nice and warm. It was an easy switch from the house to the fiver! We didn't miss the other rooms in the house, and we had plenty of space. All the systems have worked perfectly, and have been easy to use. One of the things we have found out is that we need to buy a set of deep pocket sheets for the bed. The mattress topper we bought has made the corners of the sheets pop off when we sleep. Fighting the sheets every night is not my idea of a restful nights sleep! LOL! We have also used a whole tank of propane this week, and are on the second one! Darn cold weather!!!
