About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

SIGN OF SPRING- CIRCLEVILLE

Circleville:
I had to go to Circleville, Ohio to see my first sign of spring! I actually saw my first robin while we were visiting my Mom and Pop! I think that Pickaway county is about 2 weeks ahead of us here in Clark county. So maybe in about 2 weeks I'll be able to see some robins here around Springfield, Ohio! We drove down to Circleville in pouring rain on Friday. It wasn't a bad trip it was just rain, and the creeks, streams, and rivers were out of their banks all the way down. We've had so much rain, and then the snow melt has also contributed to the flooding too.

Chillicothe, Ohio:
On Saturday we drove down to Chillicothe to see Mike's Mom and step Dad. They are in their 80's and 90's. Their house I think was 105 degrees inside! We just about roasted! Mike's Mom is in the first stages of alzheimer's, and his step Dad is very frail and uses a motorized chair, like the ones advertised on tv. They get along pretty well, but usually Mike's brother, or one of his sisters is with them. We haven't been able to take our turn for quite a while, so I'm hoping we'll be able to give them a brake in a week or two. With the four of them, they usually take turns caring for them. We were only able to stay for the day, but that allowed Mike's brother to go home early. Next time we go I will take meals down for the weekend.

Happy St Paddy's Day:
To all of you, have a happy st paddy's day tomorrow! I am always happy to see st. paddy's day get here, because I know spring is coming when it gets here! So far we don't have any buds on our forsythia, and we always have a snow after it blooms.
Can you believe that Easter is 2 weeks earlier this year than last. I'm not ready and I haven't even went shopping for the Grandkids Easter baskets. That's one thing I have to do this week. Mike will go get the 2 front tires on the truck tomorrow, and get them balanced and aligned too. It's hard for me to believe that just a week from this Tuesday we will be going to get our 5er! Wow!! That's gonna be a big highlight in our lives!
