About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

CIRCLEVILLE, OHIO

Saturday:
Hi From Circleville,
Well there is not much going on here in Circleville today. We have done the usual stuff today, you know dishes, eating, ect... I made a meatloaf for dinner and it is in the fridge waiting to go into the oven, and the potatoes are peeled for mashed potatoes, so now ya know what were having for dinner. We just have to figure out what kind of vegetable we're going to have with it. Hope you are all staying warm, and safe. It is about 23 degrees today here. Yesterday and the day before we had temperature of over 50 degrees! So that was our January thaw here in Ohio! It lasted a whole 2 days!

Quilting:
This afternoon Mom and I are going to cut some squares out of some old flannel shirts to sew together for a quilt top. So we have a little project to work on this week, in between the times I come back up here from Chillicothe and Mike's Moms. My Mom loves to quilt and I enjoy it, but don't do it very often. I'm more into crafts, but I do like to sew things too. Right now Mom is making chocolate chip cookies for Poppy, so I imagine that we'll have a few of those for desert after dinner. Mom is feeling a little bit better, but still gets tired easily. I have been trying to get her to let me do some of the things she wants to get done, but she is very independent, and it is hard to get her to sit still since she has worked most of her life. For being 70 years old, she can out work me, LOL! She does pay for it later, because she has very bad arthritis in her spine and standing for a long time is hard on her back.

Tomorrow:
Tomorrow we will go down to Mike's Moms to relieve his sister Cindy, so she can go home to get ready for her work week. She can only come down to her Mom's on the weekends because of her work. She works at a Honda plant here in central Ohio. Mike's brother, David and his wife are taking a break in Florida, this coming week and then will spend the week after that visiting their Grandson at the AFB in South Carolina. Then his other sister Mary, will leave next week for a week in Florida. Mary and David are the primary care givers for Mike's Mom, so they are taking a well deserved break and Cindy, Mike and I will take up the slack while they are gone. Except I can only stay for a couple days at a time because of her cat. I hate being allergic to cats, and I had one for 16 years, myself, and I was always sick with bronchitis. We never connected me having bronchitis all the time until my doctor ordered allergy tests done on me. Since my cat, Misty passed away I have only had bronchitis maybe once a year, if that. Some years I haven't had it at all. So that shows ya how good it is to have allergy testing done if you are sick all the time and other tests haven't yielded any information. Okay that's enough about my allergies I think.

Tuesday:
I will not be posting until I get back up here at my Mom's on Tuesday. I hope to be able to get into the RV Dreams chat room tonight, and visit with my friends for a while. Ya never know about this dial up whether it will work or not, so I promise to try. Until then see ya Over the Rainbow...
