About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

OH DEAR !! OH MY NEGLECTED BLOG !!

Neglected Blog:
Oh dear is right, I have neglected my blog for a few days! I really don't have any excuse either, just couldn't think of much to write about! How about writer's block? Oh, yeah I'm not an author, so I can't even use that for an excuse! Ha ha!

Grocery Shopping:
Yesterday we went grocery shopping, and spent $200.00! Food prices have sure gone up! When you figure almost everything is trucked, I guess they have to charge for the fuel. We didn't even get everything on the list. I wanted to make sure we had extra money left over, so we could get the stuff we want to take to Branson, for the rally. We'll wait until next week to do that though. We still have to make a trip to Wally World, to get bird food and dog food so, there will be enough until we get back.

Fiver:
This weekend it is supposed to rain on Saturday, I wonder if we could get out there and scrub the fiver while it's raining, and just let the rain wash the cleaner off? Ha ha maybe if it's a warm rain, and not storming! Mike insists we wash the fiver and the truck before we go to Branson! He doesn't want anyone to see it dirty. I told him it's going to get dirty on the way to Branson anyway! I guess I'm just being lazy! Anyway, if I can still move after that, I guess we'll start packing the fiver. I hope to have all next week to get that completed though. Right now our plans are to leave on the 7th to start our longest trip with the fiver. It's exciting to us whether it's a long or short trip, starting out is always an adventure! I'm not looking forward to stopping at the gas pumps along the way though!

Weather:
I've been monitoring the weather in Branson also. I only have one word: HOT! The forecast only goes through the 6th right now, but so far it's supposed to be in the 80's and 90's! YIKES!!!! Thats hot to me! I hope that the thunder storms are finished by rally week, and we have good weather! I can do hot, but I don't like hot and humid together!

Well time to get busy on the sewing/craft room YUCK!!! Oh well, it's got to be done! Ta Ta For Now !
