About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

MISCELLANEOUS DAY

Miscellaneous Day:
Today we just did things that needed to be done. Mike put up a small fluorescent tube light above the sink in the fiver for me. I was tired of doing dishes without enough light. The one light in the kitchen was under the upper corner cabinet, and didn't provide enough light at the sink. I may have him put another one up under the microwave if I see I don't have enough light to cook with. We found an island cart for the kitchen, that we're going to get for extra counter space, and storage here in the fiver. I don't have a pantry in the kitchen, so I have no place for can goods. We have found that the upper corner cabinet is alot of wasted space, because number 1: I have to use a step stool to see what's in there, and number 2: There isn't enough light to see in there either. I'm thinking about putting the dishes and bowls in there, and then that would give me the cabinet above the sink for boxes of things, like rice, spaghetti, cereal, and light weight stuff like that, because all that stuff gets lost in the corner cabinet. I think that may solve some of my storage problems, and I can't put cans in an upper cabinet, because they're just too heavy. We may get a plastic tub to put some of the cans in in the basement storage area, and then I could stock up on the can stuff I use all the time. I want to get plastic containers for the cereal, rice, and things like that too, so I can clearly see what's in them. We think a label maker would also be a good investment, for the fiver too. We have found the last few weeks living in the fiver, that things need to be rearranged, that's for sure! We thought that we had things arranged the best possible way for our use, but we have found out that's just not the case now! Well, that has been our day today, so until next time...
