This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

PA TRIP DELAYED

Delay:
We have decided to delay our trip to Hershey, until maybe next month or September. We were able to get the window in the truck, passenger side fixed this afternoon. The guy put the new window in and was on his way in about an hour. It cost us $150.00 which I didn't think was too bad, except that we weren't planning to spend that much on a new window. We have talked it over, and our tickets for Hershey are good until October, so we will put it off for a month or so. The hundred and fifty dollars didn't, or wouldn't have mattered, we still could have went. We just weren't sure we would be able to be back in time for my Mom's surprise 70th birthday party, on August 2nd. Also, we don't like traveling without our GPS unit. The cost of a GPS unit would put a damper on our trip though! To get one just like we had, will cost about$300 to $350. I guess we've gotten spoiled with it! Anyway we want to replace it before we go on a trip, where we don't know the countryside! Our sons got the GPS system for us this past Christmas, and it could possibly have been the first time they all worked together, and agreed on anything in their life! Haha!! I'm mostly kidding, but that did make it special to us.

Our Bedroom:
We got alot done on our bedroom Saturday! We went through lots of clothes, and threw out a bunch of them! We had about 3 big trash bags full to take to the thrift shop! We also threw out a couple bags of old magazines, and papers, except the ones that needed to be shredded. We put them aside to shred all at once. I couldn't believe how much all of our stack magazines had multiplied! More paper, and clutter. Some of the magazines I took our labels off so I could take them to the base hospital for other people to enjoy. We're now ready to set up my sewing table, and get my sewing machines, and serger set back up, and ready to use again.

Circleville:
We're still going back down to my brother's house on Thursday after my doctor's appointment. We have to go back down to Mikes Mom's house on Friday. Then we'll just hang around until August 2nd. My Mom and I have some shopping planned for after we get back to Circleville from Chillicothe. It will be fun to just get away for a day all by ourselves, we haven't done anything like that for years, and I'm looking forward to it! Mike will enjoy some quiet and restful time after feeling like he's been in a sweat shop down at his Mom's! That's all for tonite, and I plan to spend some time in the RV Dreams chat room this evening.

Well at least you got the window fixed. $150.00 with my budget would have changed my plans and losing the GPS that would have put me down the drain. Gee it is terrible that you should have to go through that. I hope those thieves choke on that thing!!! Calm down Speedy...calm down. Hey I hate to see anyone in the family have to go through something like that.

See ya
