66 Degrees:
We broke a record yesterday! It was a balmy 66 degrees here in Ohio! So we had our tropical heatwave, and now the temps will probably be in the deep freeze through February! Today it's down to the mid 40's though. More like December weather and we've got a cold front coming in, so it may get colder as the day progresses. It sure is crazy weather we're having these days!
Fiver:
Since it was so nice yesterday we got the fiver cleaned up and straightened up. Then we brought the slides in. The first 2 came in with no problems, but when we got to the dining room slide nothing moved. We took a broom and put the broom end under the slide topper to get the water off the top. Mike decided to hand crank the slide in and did give it a few turns, but still nothing happened. So he climbed up on the roof and swept the rest of the water and leaves off. Then I pushed the slide button and it worked fine. So the slides are in, and everything is out of the fiver that needs to be. Like liquids, can goods, and cleaners ect... Now we'll have to reload everything when we get ready to leave in February, but it's better than having something freeze and burst in there. We'll also have to put my recliner back in the fiver, because I had the boys bring it into the apartment. I got tired of sitting on the couch, and trying to use my laptop, and hold it at the same time. I guess we need to look for a recliner for the apartment. Mike eventually wants to get new Lazyboy recliners for the fiver, then we'll use the ones from the fiver in the apartment. Right now we just can't afford new ones, and that's a big ticket item to buy right now the way the economy is going. We'll see how things go. Well I should get busy and do something, so until next time...
