About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

Sunny The Harlequin Macaw

Sunny the Macaw:
The last three pictures are of Sunny our macaw, cos I had to have some pics of him. As you can see he is a very beautiful, and colorful bird, weighing in at about 3 whole pounds! Looks like he should weigh more doesn't he? Thing is feathers and hollow bones don't weigh very much. One of the hardest things about going full time is that we can't take all of our birds with us. We have placed Cooper, one of our Mullaccan Cockatoo's, who looks just like Paco, (who we had at the RV Dreams Rally that Linda fell in love with), with a very nice couple from Columbus, Ohio. Today they came and got Sunny, our Harlequin macaw. A Harlequin macaw is a cross between a blue and gold, and a green wing macaw. We're going to try it out for a few weeks and see how he does. Sunny is not as quite as friendly as Cooper, and Paco is. So we'll see how it works out in the next two weeks. I just didn't have a good feeling about taking Sunny over to the bird sanctuary that we used to help run. So I had to go with my gut feeling on this, and I called Linda and Frank to see if they were interested. Sure enough they were, and had been discussing Sunny ! I was so relieved, and we got Sunny's wings, and toenails clipped, so they could come and get him. So pray that everything works out, cos I want Sunny to have a great home like Cooper does. He's such a neat bird, and he deserves it!

Autumn's Cheer Leading Squad:
In the first picture of the 3 girls sitting on the top bench of the bleachers are in order left to right, Jaylyn (Autumn's best friend), Autumn, and then Tehya. The second, and third picture are of the full squad with Autumn the 2nd one from the left in the first row. The 4th pic is of the girls on the bleachers again, same order.
The 5th, and 7th pic are close ups of Autumn , and so on. I got tired of writing all the explanations of them. I know you can look, and will get the picture anyway! It was interesting watching them do their routine in the middle of the field. They all trained really hard!

Now:
The rest of the day we're just going to sit back and relax, and talk about maybe going somewhere maybe for a couple of days. We're thinking about Indian Lake. It is a lake up around Lima, where we used to have a spot in a private campground, and only about an hour away, but we used to love it there. So all of you in the gulf states take care, and be safe! See ya tomorrow, so until then...

Great photos. You're doing well uploading them!

Have you ever been to Lake Loramie SP near New Bremen, OH? We visited friends of ours from Dayton who were staying there a couple of yrs ago. New Bremen is a pretty little town too.

Sandra,
We have been there to an Rv dealer close to there, but not to stay and camp. Thank You for the complement!

Oh, it is so hard to part with a pet, but if you know that they are going to a good home, and you will have visitation rights, that helps.
Are you going to take Paco on the road with you ?
The photo uploading wasn't so bad, after all, was it ? Now we expect to see lots of pictures.
Happy trails, Penny, TX
