About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

LABOR DAY / NO LABOR / FUN PLANS

Indian Mound on my Parents land.
The sign says: Zwayer's Adena Mound

You can see the cement, and iron marker on the top

Labor Day:
Well, I did very little labor today. The most work I did was fix dinner, and make reservations for Indian Lake State Park. You see, tomorrow is our Wedding Anniversary, so we thought we'd just go somewhere for a couple of days, 3 to be exact! LOL! We have been married now for thirty-six (36) years, and have been campers, and RV'ers for 35 of those years! We went camping over our first anniversary, and we had a blast, so we were hooked! The only bad thing now that we've gotten spoiled, with laptops and internet, is that we won't have wifi there. So no internet for 3 days. We'll have plenty to do, because we still know the area very well, since we used to camp there all the time. I plan on writing things down, and taking lots of pictures while we're gone. The weather is supposed to be beautiful here in Ohio the rest of the week. I have some little projects that I want to do too, that should be fun! I just have to get them ready to take with me. Mike still belongs to the Moose up at the lake, and they have a beautiful place with a deck right on the lake, so I want to go there and get some pictures too. We used to go by boat to the Moose, and the Eagles, cos they were right across the street from each other, so we could dock at the Moose. We have some very good memories of being at Indian Lake with our friends. It probably won't be the same without our good friends, one of whom we lost, last February to cancer, but we still have our great memories, and that will have to be enough til we all meet again. Don't want to end this on a sad note, I am thankful that Hurricane Gustav hasn't been as bad as it could have, and hope there's no more damage, so everyone please stay safe!

Pictures:
Speaking of Indian Lake reminded me that I hadn't posted the pics of the Indian Mound on my parent's land, so I thought I would do that today. Hope these turn out so you all can see them. I may try to post tomorrow before we leave, but if I don't get time, I'll post on Friday after we get back from Indian Lake, so until we meet again...
