About US

My photo
This the story of our journey, Into Something Good, going Somewhere Over the Rainbow, and trying to Hold Onto Our Dreams. How we got on the way to becoming HALF time RVers! Our Ford 350 super duty diesel truck is our horses, we call it the Beast . Our 2008 34'7" 3 slide Cedar Creek Silverback fifth wheel is our Prairie Schooner Wagon,we call it the Bear. Just like the first RVers, the Pioneers of Yesteryear traveling around the country searching for a rich full filling life! Come along with us for the ride and read about our triumphs and mishaps along the way! About to be Part time RVers in a Cedar Creek Silverback 2008, 34'7", 3 slide 5th wheel, which is our Prairie Schooner Wagon, and a 2006 Ford 350 super duty 1 ton diesel truck is our horses, or oxen, only we have to feed it diesel instead of grass, and oats, which costs a lot more! Retired Air Force empty nesters off to see the good ole USA! Favorite Quote: "Life is a Blank Canvas, Made For Me to Add the Colors" Goal: I am trying to add as many colors as I can to my life!

IN THE HOUSE

We've Moved, Sort Of:
We moved into our bedroom in the house. It will be a month or so before we get the apartment done, but we'll make do. We hope to get a lot done in the next 2 weeks. The last few nights have gotten pretty cold in the fiver. The temps were down to 28^ last night and the furnace has been running a lot. At that rate the propane that Mike got on Sunday will be gone before Thursday. One 30 # tank usually lasts us about 2 weeks unless it is really cold. We still have to get our food out of the fiver and take it and dump the tanks. Then we will winterize it until we're able to head south hopefully after Christmas. We all know how plans are though, so it will depend on a number of things going the way that we want them to. We had been using our bedroom for storage all summer, so we had to move things into the closet and straighten up in there so we could move back in. For now our bedroom is our living room and sleeping quarters. I may still cook in the fiver until we get the rest of our stuff moved.

Sick:
For the first time in several years I have gotten sick. Everyone has had this around here, and it seems to last about a week or so. I've had a very sore throat, and have been coughing a lot. The sore throat started on Sunday, and has gotten worse yesterday and today. I just thought that I talked too much with everyone at the wedding and that I strained my voice, guess not. I'm also congested, so only
time will tell if my asthma gets involved. I sure hope not, I hate having to go to the hospital to get breathing treatments. So I haven't had much of a voice the past few days, and of course Mike thinks that it's funny when my voice cracks and I can't yell back at him either, that's not fair! LOL!

Veteran's Day:
I want to wish all our veterans out there a Happy Veterans Day! We all owe a great deal to all who have served in the military from the beginning of our country. We certainly wouldn't be able to live as freely as we do in this country if our men and women hadn't been willing to protect our country! I hope that our Military men and women and families know how much we appreciate what they have done for this country! Everyone please take care and say a prayer for our troops and military personnel. So I'll see you when tomorrow becomes today, until then...
