Whew:
What a 6 days this has been! We got our electric back today at 3 p.m. exactly 6 days to the hour that we lost it!!! We had crews down here in Springfield from Toledo Edison and they were GREAT!!! They were very polite, and very sympathetic about getting us back online with the electric. After the tree limb was cut down off the lines, we had electric in about 4 hours after they got started! There are still many Ohioans without electricity, and many others in Texas, and Alabama I'm sure!
You would be surprised what you will do when you are so bored with reading, and playing battery operated games. We have been doing yard work for the last 2 days! I trimmed all of our shrubs, and Mike picked up all the limbs that dropped. Then we started weeding the flower beds. I got one weeded, and started on another one this morning. Now we know that the flower beds needed weeded, but it just wasn't something we looked forward to doing! That just shows you how desperate we were for something to do! It was too dark in the house to do any staining or painting. At least it was good exercise weeding, and we needed that! We sure slept good though, except when we got up our arms and legs were sure sore! LOL! It had been really chilly getting up in the mornings lately, made us want to stay in bed! We sure missed the electricity, and have realized we need an electric blanket for the fiver. We won't have to get up in the morning with a chilly fiver, that's for sure! We are so glad to have our electric back!!!! So we'll see ya tomorrow, until then...
